hip-hop and homosexuality

people are QUICK to call Hip-Hop HOMOPHOBIC.

but they fail to understand that Hip-Hop was never about homosexuality IN THE FIRST PLACE.

they’ll call Hip-Hop HOMOPHOBIC, but won’t call the CHURCH homophobic…they won’t call the ARMED FORCES homophobic …they won’t call SOCIETY in general homophobic.

and on top of that, Hip-Hop has BEEN probably the BIGGEST supporter of homosexual activity (genre-wise) than ANY OTHER MUSIC GENRE.

the whole, “MY GIRL GOT A GIRLFRIEND” phenomena was STARTED by Hip-Hop (Rap).

sagging pants (a jail-house / prison industrial complex homosexual clothing ‘style’) was adopted by Hip-Hop.

Hip-Hop accepts (as opposed to condemn and ridicule) any and all RUMORED homosexual rap artists; male AND female.

NO OTHER GENRE has pushed HOMOSEXUALITY more than HIP-HOP has (and still currently does – girl-on-girl)

but again, Hip-Hop is BLACK CULTURE – and Black people as a RACE have NEVER been PRO-HOMO as a whole.

homosexuality and Hip-Hop is a NEW issue.

the thing about it is this – AS SOCIETY CHANGES, SOCIETY EXPECTS ALL INSTITUTIONS AND CULTURES TO ADAPT TO THE ‘NEW WAY OF DOING THINGS’ and completely DISREGARD the FOUNDATION of said culture.

but things are getting to the point where ALL INSTITUTIONS and CULTURES that don’t OPENLY EMBRACE, PUSH, AND SUPPORT HOMOSEXUALITY are going to be called HOMOPHOBIC – – – it’s just STARTING with Hip-Hop due to the INFLUENCE that Hip-Hop has on the WORLD and the fact that Hip-Hop is a Black ART / CULTURE / LIFESTYLE.

don’t take my word for it, but Hip-Hop is being BULLIED into ACCEPTING and TOUTING the gay lifestyle; as if being Hip-Hop and being Homosexual were attached at the hip since day one – which we all know it wasn’t.
