i gotta laugh this bullshit off though; seriously.

it’s fake.

why would anybody real be offended by the ‘success’ of a fake?

well, (because) the FAKE hasn’t put in the blood, sweat, tears, time, energy, sacrifice, loss, and struggle that the REAL has – so it’s normal to get MOMENTARILY offended by fakes, but it’s nothing to take too personally – or waste too much time / energy addressing.

i wish fake ‘whiterap’ the best, even though it’s a toy replica of the real thing.

…it just sucks for the ART / CULTURE when the ‘masses’ consider fake Hip-Hop anything else besides fake…

p.s.

…it’s FAKE because it doesn’t trace back to, relate to, or benefit the PEOPLE who created the ART / CULTURE in the first place…

  1. “blood, sweat, tears, time, energy, sacrifice, loss, and struggle”

macklemore has put in all these things.
it’s not even controversial, it’s documented history.
    undeniable.
to deny documented history is to drift into the realm of parody.

it’s [not] about setting up a mathmatical equation where whoever puts the most of these things into their career will instantly be on top,
    no.
of course other factors are at work.

    we already went through this.

just because macklemore is crazy successful because of hard work,
it doesn’t mean that he worked “harder” than all other black artists.

and the reverse side of that is that you can’t take away the hard work that he already put in.
making the right moves at the right time.

    that stuff is not quantifiable.
it’s not like punching a timeclock at a factory.

  2. “macklemore has put in all these things.”

with the added benefit of WHITE PRIVILEGE along the way.

which ALSO is HUGELY responsible for the ‘success’ he’s finding with ‘Whiterap’ – – – DOUBLING as Hip-Hop.

  3. “of course other factors are at work.”

    RIGHT.

and those “OTHER FACTORS” need to fukcing be ADDRESSED in HIP-HOP.

White privilege recipients need to be CALLED OUT when they’re CLOAKING / POSING as HIP-HOP artists.

you can’t be a WHITERAP artist and a HIP-HOP artist…MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE / TWO DIFFERENT WORLDS.

  4. “just because macklemore is crazy successful because of hard work”

NAW, HOMIE…he’s “CRAZY SUCCESSFUL” MAINLY BECAUSE HE IS WHITE…STRAIGHT UP AND DOWN…and it’s 100% CLEAR to ANYBODY that has the BALLS to see that bullshit for what it is.

SAME THING with Eminem, or any other White artist that outshines Black artists at their own shit.

…that’s just what time it is…and people need to address that BULLSHIT…

NOT CALLING OUT FAKE SHIT ain’t HIP-HOP.

anyone that claims that they’re HIP-HOP and cosigns and / or IGNORES RACIAL DISPARITIES in SOCIETY OR in Hip-Hop are FRAUDS.

    • something that haywire has dodged time and time again:

if the system is so greased for white rappers then where are all the other ones?
      where is the onslaught.

only two have ever been named and called out here.
where are all the other eager recipients of whiterap welfare???

      • the system is about QUALITY…not QUANTITY.

they pick ONE guy, and traject him past ANYBODY and EVERYBODY (Black) in that lane of music.

it’s akin to democracy…pick one guy every few years by way of tallied votes.

      • “only two have ever been named and called out here.
where are all the other eager recipients of whiterap welfare???”

those two have CUMULATIVELY blown so far passed Black artists it’s DISGUSTING.

i’m focusing on the White ‘national’ / ‘international’ ‘champ’ and the White ‘local’ ‘champ’.

i’m only bring up Macklemore because this BULLSHIT is happening in my back fukcing yard; and it’s NOT one-hunnerd.

      • which proves the counterpoint:

those two know how to work hard and they are smart.
if it was greased for them because they were white then multitudes of pasty mic imposters would have followed.

        none have.
        period.

  5. “it doesn’t mean that he worked “harder” than all other black artists”

    right.

    because he didn’t HAVE TO.

White privilege kicked and and gave him the fast-track to the ‘top’…it’s plain as day.

  6. WHITE PRIVILEGE and Hip-Hop don’t work together, mayne…ON EVERYTHING…and if i’m the only one that’s saying something, then either i’m CRAZY or something is out of line with Hip-Hop as a whole.

it used to be about FIGHT THE POWER

    NOW

that same ‘POWER’ has infiltrated Hip-Hop and is crowning it’s own guys as #1.

that shit is TOTALLY a race issue…hands down; and it’s BLATANT.

    • “it used to be about FIGHT THE POWER”

      it still is.
gucci = materialism in rap = problem perpetrated by the power
keep people broke buying expensive clothes that they can never afford.

      oh, who is fighting that?
      macklemore you say?
well capital on him, must be a real member of the proletariat and not the power, eh?

      cheerio!

      • “gucci = materialism in rap = problem perpetrated by the power”

if i had to choose between having a White rapper as the #1 rapper EVER vs. MATERIALISM in rap?

i’d choose the FORMER as being worse for the culture as a WHOLE.

for the record, MATERIALISM is the lesser of the two evils – REAL TALK – because the former is basically RACISM.

MATERIALISM > RACISM in this context – straight up.

  7. “and the reverse side of that is that you can’t take away the hard work that he already put in”

i’ll GIVE HIM the “hard work” factor…sure…but the WHITE factor??? that’s the MORE TANGIBLE / PRACTICAL factor here…that’s the factor that’s MAINLY responsible for his ‘success’…without THAT, he wouldn’t hardly exist.

and i’m not HATING…nor am i RACIST…the FACT of the matter is that RACE is COOKING THE BOOKS, man…and it’s BULLSHIT – and it needs to be called out by more people AND Hip-Hop as a whole.

Hip-Hop can’t GROW if it’s not HONEST about current social climates and racial dynamics that are presently altering the course of the culture.

      • ““Hip-Hop can’t GROW if it’s” – #[segregated]#”

i don’t have a problem with White rappers just because they’re White.

i DO have a problem with White rappers that act like they’re not as SUCCESSFUL as they are mainly BECAUSE they are White…AND…that USE the art / culture for PERSONAL gratification but do little to nothing for the PEOPLE that they took the art / culture from in the first place.

all i’m saying is that if you’re gonna use our shit, then AT LEAST fight WITH US in the battles and struggles that we face in this country; and around the world.

you wanna make a song called, “SAME LOVE”? you wanna rep for THAT cause? but not the BLACK cause??? even though you’re using our shit?

        that ain’t right man.

any White rapper that fights for CHIC-NOUVEAU causes and not causes that costed MILLIONS OF LIVES of the people’s CULTURE / ART-FORM that they’re EXPLOITING needs to be PERMANENTLY BANISHED FROM ‘HIP-HOP’.

don’t say you’e down with us, but not fight with us – and go and fight for some other shit…that’s FAKE.

  8. “making the right moves at the right time.”

    right.

with the underlying / unsaid REQUIREMENT of being WHITE.
