robin hood? – or…robbing the ‘hood?

honestly?

i get tired of it when White rappers say that they, “LOVE HIP-HOP”, they “REPRESENT HIP-HOP”, or they’re, “DOWN WITH HIP-HOP CULTURE” – BUT – they’re not down with, represent, or in love with ANYTHING ELSE Black.

all they wanna do is exploit the culture for their own personal gain and keep it moving.

Hip-Hop was born in STRUGGLE; a metaphorical phoenix born in the fire of INJUSTICE, POVERTY, and RACISM.

it seems like all White rappers do is TAKE from the ART – TAKE from the CULTURE – and TAKE from the COMMUNITY…and put LITTLE TO NOTHING BACK IN.

do White rappers REALLY THINK THAT SELLING RECORDS TO HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF WHITE FANS IS HELPING FURTHER THE ORIGINAL CAUSE OF HIP-HOP?

lmmfbao.

we’re getting rich off of your music & culture, but we’re doing it for YOU

but White rappers will support other causes whole-heartedly:

it really boils down to this:

“we’re ‘down’ with you, we’ll cop your swag, we’ll attach ourselves to your art and make all kinds of money off of it, but other than that? you’re on your own…oh yeah, and by the way; THANK YOU – kbye!!!”

P.S.

i’d like to see some of these White ‘rappers’ who claim that they’re ‘down with Hip-Hop’ or ‘support Hip-Hop’ wear some REPARATIONS for Black people shirts.

but they don’t wanna do that…they just wanna have one foot in your culture and one hand in your pocket.

  1. oh, there aren’t any black gays or lesbians who want to marry?
    really?

gay marriage is a [white] issue?

    • sure there’s Black gays and lesbians that want to marry…but Black people ALREADY had 99 problems BEFORE gay marriage was even on the table…those 99 problems are STILL on the table…and are ARGUABLY more important than gay marriage for Black people.

  2. i.e. same ten things.

to expect macklemore to rap about the same ten things just so he can be palatable to black audiences is ludicrous.

    • White rappers don’t have to be palatable to Black tastes; we already have Black people for that.

but don’t make music that’s for / mainly directed to / and 100% palatable to White people and call it ‘Hip-Hop’ – but do absolutely NOTHING for the people that CREATED Hip-Hop in the first place…that’s wrong / faulty / immoral and a complete ‘HEIST’ (and a complete JOKE)
