white rappers don’t INSPIRE me

yeah, i said it.

but i can only speak for myself.

but HONESTLY? my blog is to kick the REAL – the RAW (the shit that NOBODY YOU KNOW would dare say [or even THINK for that matter] ON THE RECORD)- the HAYWIRE.

SOME / CERTAIN Black people might get ‘inspired’ by the White BEST SELLING RAPPER OF ALL TIME – but i think they’re more ‘inspired’ by the MONEY he has made – as opposed to how much they actually FEEL dog’s rhymes…same thing with any other commercially ‘successful’ White rapper – BLACK people ‘feel’ you more based on your INCOME rather than your MESSAGE.

and even IF a Black person ‘feels’ a White rapper, they won’t ‘feel’ that White rapper MORE than they ‘feel’ a Black rapper – period.

and DARE I SAY THIS?

IF you’re a Black person and you ‘feel’ a White rapper more than ANY / EVERY Black rapper, YOU’RE OUT OF TOUCH with who / what you are, where you’ve been, AND where you’re going – I.E., YOU’RE LOST.

that’s why i’m not mad when the #1 SELLING RAPPER OF ALL TIME is a White person…that’s why i’m not mad that the HOTTEST RAPPER IN SEATTLE is a White person – BECAUSE – WHITE PEOPLE ‘FEEL’ THEIR WHITE BRETHREN – it’s just that simple.

– and my final point – (which is EPIC, btw)

if you’re a Black guy that has a White girl, i’d look at you LESS FUNNY than if you were a Black guy with a WHITE RAPPER as your favorite rapper.

the FORMER is POLITICS, the LATTER is SPIRITUAL.

Sincerely,

FyLe ForMatz

  1. the sentiment expressed in the title is hardly controversial,
perhaps it even qualifies as conventional wisdom…
sales and inspiration are not siblings, or even distant cousins.
the number one in sales need not be the number one inspirer-in-chief.

“…and even IF a Black person ‘feels’ a White rapper, they won’t ‘feel’ that White rapper MORE than they ‘feel’ a Black rapper – period.

    and DARE I SAY THIS?

imho this is flawed because it is a blanket generalization that includes sweeping assumptions.
race does not cleave into (a) or (b) and it never has.
the english langusge that we use today, language which was developed and controlled by generations of racists, has shaped the way our language describes race.
clinging to the words (black) and (white) must be similar to holding a god damn water weenie.
those toys for kids with an inverted water balloon.
it slips. it slithers. try to hold it!
those two words are slipping away.
it is impossible to accurately describe the motives and habits of an entire (race) of fans.
    it can’t be done.

    • “those two words are slipping away.”

even if the WORDS slip away, the DISPARITIES, DISADVANTAGES, and DISCRIMINATION that Black people as a whole disproportionately suffer from won’t. ADDITIONALLY – (“Black” will ‘slip away’ before NIGGER will)

“it is impossible to accurately describe the motives and habits of an entire (race) of fans.”

i’m not talking about MOTIVES and HABITS…i’m talking about VALUES and ETHICS for the small minority of Black people that ‘feel’ (#1-wise) White rappers more than Black rappers.

“the sentiment expressed in the title is hardly controversial”

RIGHT – thus it’s not in the “SHOTS FIRED” category.

  2. “IF you’re a Black person and you ‘feel’ a White rapper more than ANY / EVERY Black rapper, YOU’RE OUT OF TOUCH with who / what you are, where you’ve been, AND where you’re going – I.E., YOU’RE LOST.”

is this only true vis a vis the 2012 balance, or will it be true in perpetuity?

    • man, it HAS to be that way, bruh.

White people already got JESUS…do you have any idea how many BLACK PEOPLE worship a WHITE GOD???

worshiping a WHITE GOD and IDOLIZING a WHITE RAPPER goes too far…it’s ALREADY far enough with WHITE JESUS (there’s many more examples of the White:Black ratio, but i’ll delve into those at another time)

jussayin’, man…i only kick the real.
