WHEN will black people invent the next new genre of music?!?!
we need to move on from hip hop…just LET IT GO…reinvent ourselves, and also invent a new form of ART.
i for one am not going to throw EVERYTHING “NEW” that is MUSICALLY BLACK under the “HIP HOP” / “RAP” umbrella. this new genre that we are to create HONESTLY shouldn’t even be DIRECTLY related to HIP HOP / RAP…it needs to be too different to try to box it in as another STYLE of rap / hip hop…
hopefully i’m alive to see it…and hopefully, we manage it better this time around…with frequent “quality checks” and a set terms / conditions / laws / regulations that keep it PURE and NOURISHING to the mind, body, and soul.
